There are several varieties of songbirds in my backyard.  Goldfinches, house finches, cardinals, bluebirds, and many others frequent the feeders, trees and the pond.    It's a joy to not only see them but to hear their beautiful songs each morning.
I've only observed two hawk varieties in my yard--the red-shouldered hawk and the Cooper's hawk, but I love watching them as they scope out the area looking for prey.
The tree clingers are mostly woodpeckers with the occasional nuthatch.  I also included the blue jays in this group just to round it out, though they are not tree clingers
Waterbirds
We have a plethora of Canada geese, a few mallard ducks and at least a pair of great blue herons.  From time to time, there are other duck visitors as well.  Last week, there were buffleheads and scaups.  I've seen but not yet photographed the hooded mergansers that sometimes visit in spring.
