When one thinks of Pittsburgh, thoughts don't go directly to nature and its beauty. More likely, the Steelers and Pirates and the steel industry itself will come to mind. Well, I have to say that one of the best bird encounters I've experienced occurred in Pittsburgh at the National Aviary Center. I was able to spend hours photographing many species of birds, most in areas where they were free to fly. As if that wasn't special enough, I spent the next day at the Phipps Conservatory Botanical Gardens and marveled at the beautifully arranged areas of botanical wonders. Of course, I wanted to share these experiences and more in my website.
