Camden and its harbor are full of New England charm.  From the schooners and pleasure boats in the harbor, to the pleasant shops and restaurants in town, there's something for everyone.
Monhegan Island is 10 miles from the mainland and has a fishing history dating back before Columbus.  In modern times, it has been an artist's colony.
We went ketch sailing out of Rockland Harbor and saw many schooners and other sailing craft.  A scenic drive to Thomaston, Tenant's Harbor and Owl's Head completed the tour of this area.
Camden to Bucksport
From Lincolnville Beach to Bucksport is a pretty area of seaside towns.  The Penobscot Narrows Bridge is a highlight here.  It features an observation tower 420 feet above the river below.
